Seaside Revival is a vintage festival celebrating Bangor’s heyday as a thriving seaside resort. It is a free event, conceived and organised by Open House and is in addition to the annual Open House Festival in August. Seaside Revival will take place on Bangor seafront.
You can find the Craft Adventure girls running a free sewing workshop as part of this event in association with Boom Studios, along with a host of other free workshops. We will be located in the Hub at Project 24, on Queen’s Parade, from 1pm-6pm (or until supplies diminish!).
We will be helping you to create hand sewn corsages using the Suffolk Puff method – not sure what that is? Come along to find out!
Here’s what else you can look forward to on the day:
* Live music & vintage swing dancing
* Vintage stalls & flea market
* Vinyl DJ
* Record Fair
* The Sabrejets, rockabilly band from Belfast
* 70s Disco Revival
* Vintage fashion show
* Bangor Rocks Music Tours
* Classic cars & bikes
* Hot food & full bar
* Dog show
* Best Shop Window Competition
Plus, Seaside Revival is resurrecting the legendary Pickie to the Pier Swim, a summer highlight of Bangor’s glory days since 1910, with a replica of the original trophy for the winner.
Train friendly event. Last train back towards Belfast is 10.27pm from Bangor train station.
This event is supported by The Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland.
